Alexandria University

In 1938, the nucleus of the Alexandria University (formerly known as Farouk University) had its beginning in the form of two faculties of Fouad the First University. These were the faculties of Arts and Law. The faculty of Engineering was then established in 1941.
In the light of the need for developing more disciplines for higher learning and with a view towards meeting the need of the people of Alexandria, Alexandria University became a separate entity in August 1942 with four additional faculties: Science, Commerce, Medicine and Agriculture.
In 1952, it became "Alexandria University". Since then, the University witnessed growth and expansion in several fields: the number of Faculties and high institutes increased to 22.

Military Medical Academy

Military MEdical Academy is the scintific is the scientific medical commission of the Egyptian armed forces.
It was established in 1979 to benefit from the expertise of doctors of the armed forces and aims to train and teach medical service officers and carry out various specialized studies and conduct medical research in various medical and clinical medicine sciences.

Menoufia University

Menofia University (MU) was founded in 1976. It started withfour faculties with nearly 9500 students, 214 staff members and 372 assistingmembers. It has steadily and remarkably developed to be one of the largest universities in Egypt.Today the University includes 22 faculties & institutes with about 80000 students and  3500 teaching  staff members .
The University hastwo campuses. The main cam­pus is located in the city of Shebin EL-koum, thecap­ital of Menofia Governorate, which is 75 Km from Cairo.
The University’sother branch has been recently established in accordance with the presidentialdecree No 267, for the year 2006. It is located in SadatCity, 60 Km from Shebin EL-koum, and 90 Km from Cairo.

Beni-Suef University

University established its branch in Beni Suef in 1981.
Beni Suef University was established based on a Presidential Decree No.(84) in 2005 and resigned from the prestigious University of Cairo.
The University includes (Faculty of Commerce - Faculty of Law - Faculty of Veterinary Medicine - Faculty of Arts - Faculty of Science - Faculty of Education, Faculty of Medicine - Faculty of Nursing - Faculty of Industrial Education -Faculty of Engineering - Faculty of Physical Education).
The university study system is divided into two semesters with the exception of the Faculty of Medicine, where the study period for each class is 15-weeks , followed by an exam at the end of it, the general result of the grade will be at the end of the school year .
The number of graduates since the start of the study in Beni Suef faculties till 2007 is 62321 graduates from various faculties and institutes .

Mansoura University

Mansoura University was founded in 1972 in Mansoura city, Egypt. Mansoura is located at the middle of the Nile Delta in Egypt. It is one of the biggest Egyptian universities and has contributed much to the cultural and scientific life in Mansoura and Egypt.
The faculty of medicine was founded in 1962 as a branch of Cairo University. In 1972, a presidential decree announced the establishment of the University under the name "East Delta University". Later on, its name was changed to Mansoura University in 1973.

Suez Canal University

The history of Suez Canal University dates back to 1976 when the university was established by the presidential decree no. 93 for 1976.
Study began in 1977 in six faculties; namely, the faculty of science, the faculty of agriculture, the faculty of commerce, the faculty of engineering and technology (in Port Said) and the faculty of education (in Suez).
In the 1980s and 1990s, steady expansion in the university has been going on with a new faculty opening its doors almost every year. Today, there are 49588 students registered at the university studying in more than twenty faculties distributed in more than six Branches located in Ismailia, Port Said, and Suez and El-Arish. Two more faculties, one for arts and humanities and the other for fish, are to be established soon.
The number of senior staff members today exceeds 1497 assisted by 1485 junior staff, members teaching to more than 74097 at the undergraduate level. Till now, 87500 students have received their first degree from the university, in addition to 15082 who have received different graduate degrees.
As for the administration, the university employs more than 6481 employees in 25 central directorates shouldering the administrative work in collaboration with the university and faculty administrations.

Tanta University

It was founded first in 1962 as a branch from the University of Alexandria with the faculty of Medicine only and then it became an independent university named University of the Middle Delta in 1972. It had at that time Medicine, Science, Agriculture and Education faculties. Then, its name was changed into Tanta University in 1973.
The university's branch in Kafr ash Shaykh was constituted in 1983. It has Education, Agriculture, Specific Education, Veterinary Medicine, Commerce, Engineering and Arts faculties.
In 2006, Kafr ash Shaykh branch separated from the Tanta university to become an independent university under the name of Kafr ash Shaykh University in Kafr ash Shaykh city and it now has Education, Agriculture, Specific Education, Veterinary Medicine, Commerce, Engineering, Physical Education and Arts faculties.

October 6 University

October 6 University (O6U) is the first private university in Egypt. It was established by the Republican Decree no (243) in 1996.
O6U is located in the 6th of October City, 32 km from downtown Cairo. O6U Campus consists of four educational buildings, the teaching hospital and the hotel for female students, while the central library and male students hotel are located 150 meters away from the campus. October 6 University has about 14,085 students.
All the awarded degrees are accredited and validated by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities. The University is a member of the Association of Arab Universities since 1997 and also a member of the Association of African Universities.

Assiut University

Assiut could maintain its name throughout history. The name 'Assiut' had been originally derived from the Ancient Egyptian (Sa-oot), which means a guard who watches the borders between Upper Egypt and Lower Egypt. The name remained unchanged until the Greco-Roman times where it was given the name Lycopolis (city of the wolf). Since ancient times, Assiut has been distinguished by its fertile land and rich resources.  Until recently, Assiut has been the largest market in Upper Egypt on the level of trade of Sudanese goods and oases and Moroccan products transported easily through the historic road known as Darb Al Arba-een which tied Assiut with the oases and Sudan. In the northern part of Assiut, there streams from the Nile one of the longest man-made canals in the world, the Ibrahimiya which runs at the barrages of Assiut northwards. 

Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST)

Misr University for Science & Technology (MUST) was established by the presidential decree No.245/1996 in accordance with law No. 101/1992 governing private universities Egypt.
MUST enjoys full legal recognition by all educational authorities In Egypt and is authorized to grant B.A, B.S, M.A, M.S, and Ph.D. Degrees in different fields of study.
All our programs at MUST have been accredited by the Supreme Council of Universities in egypt.
MUST is an active member of the Association of Arab universities, the International Association of university Presidents and the Association of African Universities.
MUST has been assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 for Educational Service management for students after high school.

Port Said University

Port Said University starred with the decision of the president of the Republic in 24/2/2010 to transfer Suez Canal branch in Port Said to an independent university. The history of the university extends before the decision of its establishing; as the existence of its first faculties was the faculty of engineering in 1975 under the supervision of Helwan University, then under supervision of Suez Canal University when it was established in 1976. After that, more faculties were established in Port Said Governorate increasing to four faculties prompting the decision of establishing Port Said University as a branch of the Suez Canal University in 1998. The wise decision of the Republic President, for establishing Port Said University in 2010, was the result of the continuous increasing of the faculties outreaching nine Educational institutions. Port Said University consists of the following: faculty of Engineering; faculty of Commerce; faculty of Physical Education; faculty of Education; faculty of Specific Education; faculty of nursing; faculty of Science; faculty of Kindergarten; and the Higher Institute of Management and Computer.

Kafrelsheikh University

The University is public governmental university, founded in 2006 by the Presidential decree No.129. It includes 10 faculties, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Education, Commerce, Engineering, Specific Education, Arts, Physical Education, Science and Pharmacy. All the university buildings are connected with the Egyptian network of the universities and well stocked libraries are found in each faculty provided with text books and periodicals which cover several disciplines. All classrooms, labs and lecture halls are fully equipped with scientific equipments and data show. All buildings are surrounded by green areas and wide roads.

Sohag University

Sohag University is a regional university which has a general strategic aim which is covering the needs of the national and local labor market from the qualified graduates scientifically and practically.
It also aims at preparing a generation of the distinguished scientists.
Worthy mentioning is that the history of Sohag University extends from the history of the construction of the first faculty which is faculty of education in 1971.
After this the construction of faculty of scinece,faculty of arts and faculty of medicine came ,these faculties were subordinate to Assuit University then they became subordinate to South valley University.
In 2006 Sohag University was set up to comprise all the faculties of Sohag governorate.
The first higher education center in Sohag governorate was the Faculty of Education, established in 1971. In 1975, Faculties of Arts and Science were established.
This center started as a branch of Assuit University 1980 with the establishment of the Faculty of Commerce.
In 1992, Faculty of Medicine was established. In 1995, Sohag Branch became a branch of South Valley University in Qena. In 1996, Faculty of Agriculture was established.

Badr University in Cairo

Zagazig University

Zagazig University is one of the Egyptian universities which was established to contribute side by side with its counterparts in the renaissance of Egypt and raising its position. The university started as a branch of Ain ​​Shams University in the academic year 1969/1970. Zagazig University is the seventh university in Egypt in terms of its inception. The university has made great strides in all areas, keeping up with the modern age. The university has chosen the image of the great national leader / Ahmed Orabi son of Sharqia as its slogan who stood lofty in front of the brutal colonization calling for the freedom of our dear Egypt. The law No. 18 was issued on 14/4/1974 to establish Zagazig University which was composed of six colleges as a branch of Ain ​​Shams University. Those are the colleges of agriculture, trade, veterinary medicine, human medicine, education and science.
Establishing more colleges continued later till the number of colleges became 33 colleges and institutes in different specialties spreading over a wide regional area in Sharkia and Qalyubia provinces. In August 1, 2005 a presidential decree has been issued to establish the University of Benha.
The University plans in the future expansions to have a branch in the 10th of Ramadan City to ensure the maintenance of the green areas and to serve the community of businessmen and the growth of the industrial activities in that city. The University is also planning in the future expansions to have a Center for Graduate Studies and Research in Oboor City to activate and develop the Graduate Studies and Research and to start to serve the industry and the society in the new cities.

Matrouh University

Matrouh University was established based on the provisions of the Universities Organization Law No. (49) for the year 1972 and its executive regulations, and by Ministerial Resolution No. 1715 of 2018 AD amending some provisions of the executive regulations of the Universities Organization Law by adding Matrouh University to the universities stipulated in Article 2 of the Universities Organization Law, and it includes the following colleges :
1. Faculty of Education. 2. College of Desert and Environmental Agriculture. 3. College of Veterinary Medicine. 4. Faculty of Tourism and Hotels. 5. College of Nursing. 6. College of Early Childhood Education. 7. College of Physical Education for Boys. 8. Petroleum Sciences and Mining. 9. College education quality. 10. College of Archeology and Languages. 11. Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence.

Damanhour University

Damanhour University as a scientific and economic establishment was started as branch of Alexandria University. At that time only 4 scientific institutions: Faculty of Education, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Arts,  and Faculty of Commerce that shaped the distinct identity of Damanhour University. Three more faculties: Science, Nursing, and  Veterinary Medicine were added according to the presidential decrees. Also, the decrees of Alexandria University Council have added new branches for Faculty of Pharmacy, Kindergarten, and Law starting from the Academic Year 2007/2008. Damanhour Branch of Alexandria University was established on the 1979/1980 academic year with Faculty of Education according to the presidential decree no. 507/1988. Then three years later, Faculty of Agriculture was established in the Academic year 1983/1984, and then became an independent faculty according to the presidential decree no. 50/1988. Faculty of Arts was started in Damanhour in 1984 as an extension for the Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University until it became an independent faculty according to the presidential decree 507/1988. Faculty of Commerce was established in Damanhour according to the presidential decree no. 507/1988. Faculty of Science and  Faculty of Veterinary Medicine were established in Damanhour according to the Presidential Decree # 87/2007. Afterwards, Faculty of Kindergarten and Faculty of Pharmacy were started in the academic year 2008/2009. Finally, the ex-president Mohamed Hosni Mubarak has issued a Presidential Decree in 26/10/2010 stating the establishment of Damanhour University as an academic scientific identity. This decree  included 12 faculties; Arts, Commerce Agriculture, Education, Nursing, Sciences Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Kindergarten, Medicine, and Engineering.

South Valley University

South Valley University (SVU), covers a large area in Upper Egypt and distributed in three Governorates (Qena, Luxor, and the Red Sea).
SVU main campus is located in Qena, a city which is 600 km south Cairo. Other campuses are in Luxor and Hurghada (The Red Sea). The University includes a total of (18) Faculties and one Institute.
South Valley University began the study on October 1970 ,as a branch of Assiut University, and separated on January 2, 1995 by decree No.142.
SVU is committed to provide a big role of community service in the region of Upper Egypt. SVU is a vibrant, nationally recognized student-centered, research institution with an enrolment of 50827 in the Academic Year 2017/2018. The University attracts students from every governorate of Egypt and some other countries. Its more than 1733 academic staff have been trained at the best international foundations, and they brought to the University a global perspective that enhances the educational environment.
As a matter of fact, SVU is an independent university, so it commits to provide the mission through culture and educational services. Needless to say, being a good neighbor and a valued member of the community and one of its highest priorities.

Fayoum University

In 1975, Faculty of Education in Fayoum was established as one of the faculties affiliated to Cairo University. Faculty of Agriculture followed in 1976. After that, Faculty of Engineering was established in 1981. In 1983, the presidential decree was issued declaring Fayoum branch as an independent branch of Cairo University.
Finally, the dream of Fayoum people became true with issuing the presidential decree N. 84 dated in 2005 to establish Fayoum University. Then, the presidential decree N.193 dated in 2005 was issued to establish faculties of Medicine and Archeology. Both decrees were crowned with the appointment of Prof. Galal M. Said as a president of Fayoum University.
Now, the university includes 13 faculties; Education, Agriculture, Engineering, social Work, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Sciences, Tourism and Hotels, Specific Education, Archeology, Medicine, Arts, Computers and Information, Kindergarten as well as the Technical Institute for Nursing. The university also includes 1800 of faculty members and their assistants teaching 25,000 students.

Suez University

Suez University is an Egyptian public university established by the presidential decree no 193 in 2012 to transfer Suez Canal University branch in Suez to an independent university. Suez University is the first university established by a presidential decree after the January 25 revolution in Egypt.
The University plans to establish new faculties, including the completion of the medical complex, including the Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, College of Dentistry, Faculty of Physical Therapy and College of Nursing, as well as the University Hospital. In light of the national responsibility for the reconstruction of Sinai, the University has opened classes for the Faculty of Education and classes of the Faculty of Arts in Sinai as a nucleus for the establishment of the university branch in South Sinai Governorate.

Minia University

Minia University is rich in history, it is known with its famous faculties and University buildings. It was separated from Assuit University by virtue of Republican Decree No. (93) Of 1976. The University currently includes 19 faculties in addition to the Higher Institute of Nursing. Four of these faculties located off campus; faculties of Arts, Dentistry, Engineering and Veterinary Medicine. The other faculties located on campus; Faculties of Education, Agriculture, Science, Dar Al-Uloum, Medicine, Fine Arts, Tourism & Hotels, Physical Education, Alsun, Nursing, Pharmacy, Specific Education, Computer & IT Science and Arts of Education.
The University seeks to provide the necessary elements of continuous development to keep abreast of the rapid scientific and technological developments and improve the university performance. The University works to achieve its mission through:
  • Preparing specialized technical cadres in various fields that meet the needs of the society and are required by the areas of comprehensive development.
  • And provide qualified personnel in the new disciplines required by the labor market.

City of Scientific Research & Technological Applications

The General Authority for the City of Scientific Research and Technological Applications SRTA-City is an Egyptian research body established by Presidential Decree No. 85 of 1993 and was inaugurated on 13 August 2000 to link scientific research with a strong partnership with industrial companies in the new Borg El Arab area and Alexandria, 225 acres. The city is located in the new city of Borg El Arab, Alexandria Governorate, Egypt.
The city has excellent researchers in various fields of research, most of whom traveled to study in the world's best universities to obtain degrees and acquire research skills. The city has a plan to be a scientific landmark that contributes to the development of science, scientists and technology to keep abreast of global technological progress. The city will become a science park in the sense that it has technology incubators for the small and medium industries, Has Joint Joint Stock Companies with the Joint Venture Companies to become a science and technology valley to be part of the country's strategy in the knowledge economy based on the development and modernization of Egyptian industries and also the transfer, development and resettlement

Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority

Egypt was one of the first developing countries to sense the vital role of peaceful applications of atomic energy in serving national development. Therefore, Law No. 509 of 1955 was issued to establish the Atomic Energy Commission as a stand-alone body aimed at enabling the state to exploit atomic energy for peaceful purposes, including scientific, medical, industrial, agricultural and others, to keep pace with scientific progress.
Over the past years, the Atomic Energy Authority has been developing this high-end technology in the fields of using radioisotopes and radioactive sources in medicine, agriculture, groundwater, industry and others. With the national conviction that nuclear technology is the main engine for developing advanced technologies in many fields, the authority worked during this period to develop its laboratories and provide them with the latest technologies and built a scientific human base that came into contact with the most prestigious nuclear schools around the world.

Alexandria Regional Center for Women's Health and Development

Alexandria Regional Center for Women's Health and Development (formerly called The Suzanne Mubarak Regional Centre for Women's Health and Development) is a non-profit training and research center in Alexandria, Egypt. It is concerned with women's health and women's development in Egypt and its neighboring countries. The Centre was named after Suzanne Mubarak, wife of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak, who was interested in improving the physical and social well-being of women in Egypt.
The Center also contains a digital library and specialized clinics. In 2007, it organized a conference on violence against women.

Ayady Almostakbal Cancer Centre

The Non-Profit Association (NGO), a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to philanthropy, registered under No. 1462 of 2002, has established and managed Ayady Almostakbal Cancer Centre for those who can not afford it.
  • Alexandria Governorate is the first shareholder in this charity project, where the Governor of Alexandria at the time, Mr. / Abdel Salam Mahgoub agreed to allocate an area of ​​4200 m 2 this project.
  • The Board of Directors of the Association in coordination with Royal Marsden Hospital in London, the second largest institute of tumors in Europe, for scientific cooperation free of charge to take advantage of the latest experience and supervision of the areas of establishment and processing of the Center's management.
  • The cost of construction of the center exceeded 18 million pounds.
  • The cost of medical devices and accessories exceeded 38 million pounds.
  • Work was started at the beginning of 2006, the center was started and the center registered about 600 patients who were unable to receive free treatment during 2006.
  • The Center continued to receive the new cases while continuing to provide treatment services for the rest of the patients. In late 2014, the Center received about 10,000 cases, including about 4039 new cases.
